Monday Essentials: Foxwoods MA to Meet with Milford Selectmen

1. Milford Selectmen meet Monday and the agenda includes a presentation at 7 p.m. by representatives of Foxwoods Massachusetts, which has proposed a nearly $1 billion casino off I-495 and Route 16, near Holliston. The 30-minute presentation is designed to rebut information provided earlier this month by the casino opposition group, Casino Free Milford. 2. The Hopkinton Planning Board meets at 7:30 p.m. Monday to consider a proposed 8,000-square-foot addition to the Hopkinton Community Endowment and Hopkinton Center for the Arts building, at 98 Hayden Rowe St. The addition to the renovated barn will include performance and TV studio space, a parking area and other site improvements.

3. Construction will continue in Holliston this week. Road construction will affect Church Street, Elm Street and Grove Street. Some roads may be detoured as necessary and drivers should expect delays. Normal construction hours will be Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

4. The Holliston Trails Committee meets at 7 p.m. Thursday. The agenda is a busy one, and includes an update on the Holliston to Milford trail connection.

5. Holliston Selectmen will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. The agenda includes an executive session for non-union contract negotiations.
