Motorcyclist Arrested After Crash, Foot Chase In Hopkinton
Police had been searching for the motorcyclist with a distinctive single exhaust pipe. He was arrested near the Milford line this week.
HOPKINTON, MA — Hopkinton police this week arrested and charged a local motorcyclist with a distinctive bike that had been on their radar for some time.
On Wednesday morning, police noticed the motorcyclist — whose bike has a single black exhaust pipe — in the downtown Hopkinton area.
"Over the last several months, Hopkinton police have attempted to stop a motorcycle fitting that description on several occasions," police said in a news release.

After attempting to stop the rider again, he took off and headed south toward Milford. Police followed the motorcyclist for about two miles to near the intersection of Ash Street and Thayer Heights Road, where he crashed after failing to pass a car. The rider ran from police, but was caught in a yard along Ash Street.
The 28-year-old Hopkinton resident was arrested on multiple charges, including leaving the scene of an accident, reckless driving, failure to stop, speeding and being in possession of a large capacity ammunition device, police said.

The motorcyclist was arraigned at Framingham District Court on Wednesday.
