Each year the Holliston Newcomers Club (HNC) gives back to Holliston and enriches the community by issuing grants to individuals or organizations that make a significant impact and provide a needed service or project which helps a large number of Holliston residents. As of Monday January 2nd applications will be available at Coffee Haven or can be downloaded from http://www.hollistonnewcomers.org. Applications will be accepted until February 15, 2012 and grants will be awarded in April 2012.
For over 30 years the Newcomers Club has been demonstrating its commitment to the community by funding many projects and services in town. Last year the Club gave back approximately $15,000 to the Holliston community. Many great projects, including the Library’s museum passes and the Goodwill Park Concert Series were funded by this grant program. For more information or questions about the grants program please contact Julie Damigella at 508-429-8022 or juldam@verizon.net.
