Theodore Lewis, 85, of Mashpee and formerly of Holliston, died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011. Born in Belleville, NJ, he was the son of the late Margaret and Earl Lewis.
He was the husband of the late Mary Lewis.
A member of the greatest generation and WWII Army Veteran Sergeant, Theodore was a Scout supporter and had been active with Little League. He played in men’s over 35 softball and basketball in Holliston for many years. He enjoyed golf, penny ante poker and camping. A member of the Masons in Belleville, NJ. he was employed with Prudential Insurance Company for 39 years and was an active member of the First Congregational Church of Holliston.
He leaves behind 4 sons, Glenn Lewis and his wife Kathy of Ware; Steve Lewis and his late wife Marit M. Davies and their children Sarah and William of Franklin; Scott Lewis and his wife Debbie of Palmyra, NJ, and their children, Lauren and her husband Chris, Justin, Tara, and Jason; and Gregg Lewis and his wife Susan of Holliston and their children, Sarah and Emily. He also leaves his siblings, James Earl Lewis of NJ, and Betty Lewis of TX. He is predeceased by a sister, Eleanor Pourchier.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 9th from 4-7p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. A funeral home service will take place on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. with burial following in Lake Grove Cemetery in Holliston. Barbara Therrien, 63, of Holliston, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of Lily (Scott) and Thomas Lesanto of Weston. She was the wife of Paul Therrien of Holliston.
She was the loving mother of 2 children, Justin Therrien of Sommerville, and the late Dana Therrien who passed in 1987.She also leaves behind her brothers, T.R. Lesanto of Natick and Steve Lesanto of Southborough.
Memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 7th from 4-7p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 854 Washington St. Holliston. A funeral service will take place in the funeral home on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Lake Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Special Olympics.
Mary Camlin

Mary E. (Johnson) Camlin, 85, formerly of Holliston, passed away Monday, November 14, 2011, in Westborough, MA. She lived a full life devoted to family and community. She leaves her beloved husband, Philip Camlin, to whom she was married for 63 years. Mary was born in Springfield on June 27, 1926, the daughter of the late Theodore and Delia (Newcomb) Johnson and lived in Holliston most of her life. Mary taught science in the Framingham public schools for 25 years. Throughout her life she was active in Holliston town government.
She was especially committed to her years on the School Committee and the Council on Aging, serving as Chairperson of both committees. While chair of the Council on Aging, she led the effort to establish a Senior Center, develop programs and hire a director. She later served as Vice President of the BayPath Board of Directors. In 1994, she was recognized by the state for her leadership on the Holliston Council as a recipient of the Silver Dove Award.
Besides her husband she is survived by four children: Roberta Hanlon and her fiancée Dick Pryor of Madison CT, Scott Camlin and his wife Bethany Uptegrove of Belmont, Linda Camlin and her husband Keith Irving of Winchester and Steven Camlin and his wife Karen of Wells ME, four grandchildren: Alexander and his wife Jennifer, David, Elizabeth and Duncan, two great grandchildren: Aisling and Cormac. She is also survived by her two brothers, Theodore Johnson, Jr. of Ballston Spa, NY and his wife Dorothy, Richard Johnson of Framingham and her brother-in-law Martin Nitzsche of Holliston. She is predeceased by her sister Delia Nitzsche.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in the First Congregational Church of Holliston, 725 Washington St. Burial will follow in Lakegrove Cemetery. Visiting hours at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 854 Washington St., will be held on Saturday from 10 a.m. 12 Noon. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the Nature Conservancy or the Holliston Senior Center.
