Over a Thousand Rally in Holliston for No Kings Event
Strength, Unity, and Compassion in the Face of Tyranny
HOLLISTON, MA — A hand count showed that around 1,200 residents from Holliston and beyond gathered in front of Town Hall on Saturday, June 14. They joined up to eleven million Americans in a nationwide call to stop the Trump Administration’s assault on the Constitution; the Republic; and the law-abiding, hard-working people who live and work in the United States.
The festive, family-friendly gathering featured a sea of American flags, patriotic songs, and Holliston’s trademark bubbles. The event highlighted the community’s unity and hope in the face of recent kidnappings of law-abiding immigrants by ICE, violent attacks on peaceful protesters, and politically-motivated assassinations. Attendees also protested the economic hardship Trump Administration policies are bringing to those most vulnerable among us, including our nation’s veterans.
In the spirit of unity and support, the Holliston Democratic Town Committee (HDTC) gathered nearly $700 in cash donations for Veterans, Inc. This Worcester-based charity provides direct care to veterans and their families across New England, with an emphasis on ending veteran homelessness. The award-winning charity earned an impressive platinum rating from Guidestar and 4-star, 97% rating on Charity Navigator.

“We believe that any celebration of the U.S. Military should focus on helping its members through their real, everyday struggles—not on a hollow, costly display of vanity,” said HDTC Chair Cynthia Burrow. “No Kings Holliston is about standing up to tyranny while caring for all in our community.”
