Police to Host Rape Defense Class

A nationally certified program will instruct women in the basics of awareness and physical self-defense.

The will host a rape defense class in January, designed to provide local women with hands-on training in self-protection.

Nationally certified instructors will provide students with an understanding of awareness, risk-avoidance and physical defense, according to a press release. 

Funded by the MetroWest Women's Alliance, the class will run on Jan. 9, 10 and 12 from 5 - 9 p.m. at the Flagg building.

Women above age 16 of all fitness levels are encouraged to attend.
