The will host a rape defense class in January, designed to provide local women with hands-on training in self-protection. Nationally certified instructors will provide students with an understanding of awareness, risk-avoidance and physical defense, according to a press release.  Funded by the <a href="http://metrowest.org/networking/womens-initiative" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">MetroWest</a><a href="http://metrowest.org/networking/womens-initiative" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"> Women's Alliance</a>, the class will run on Jan. 9, 10 and 12 from 5 - 9 p.m. at the Flagg building.  Women above age 16 of all fitness levels are encouraged to attend.  To reserve a space, email officer Ciara Ryan at ryan@hollistonpolice.com or Andrea Minihan at minihana@holliston.k12.ma.us.
