POLL: Gas Prices on the Rise in Massachusetts

Uncertainty in the Middle East has pushed up the price of crude oil, causing you pay more at the pump.

Gasoline prices in Massachusetts are the highest they have been in eight months, rising 5 cents last week to an average of $3.29 a gallon, according to boston.com.

Tensions in the Middle East caused the surge, the Boston Herald reports, citing tough talk between Iran and the United States over the Strait of Hormuz, a major passage for oil exports.

In Holliston, prices are higher than the state average, with the Mobil station on Washington street charging $3.49 per gallon.
