The RMV in Milford Could Close, Kennedy Relaunches his Website
Here are five things to help inform your day.

1. Under a preliminary consolidation plan, the state Registry of Motor Vehicles in Milford would close, in favor of regional facilities. The closest to Holliston and Hopkinton would be the center eyed for a Framingham location. The conceptual modernization plan, discussed by the DOT in July, will be discussed yet some more before approval.
2. Some 27 business owners in Milford and surrounding towns have signed a petition that asks Milford Selectmen to not pursue an agreement with Foxwoods Massachusetts. The petition, collected by Milford resident Peter Scandone, states that the businesses fear that the all-inclusive nature of the resort casino means that it will not provide additional traffic to the local businesses, and instead will make it harder for them to survive.
3. As the world waits to find out the name of the royal baby, you may wonder: How trendy is your own name? A state database, published on Patch, allows you to check how many babies were named your name in 2012, versus previous years.
4. The Holliston Planning Board will meet Thursday. According to its revised agenda, recommendations from a downtown traffic study will be presented.
5. U.S. Rep. Joseph Kennedy III has relaunched his website. The updated site contains a variety of new tools and expanded information for constituents of the 4th Congressional district. It offers a simplified and streamlined design, too.
