What's Going on at Hopkinton Sunoco?

The gas station at 60 Main St., opposite Colella's Supermarket, is replacing its pumps. The new machines will be able to read cards, including the Price Chopper gas savings cards, more efficiently.

For several weeks, the Hopkinton Sunoco on Main Street has been surrounded by a metal security fence.

What's going on?

Pretty simple: new pumps are going in, to replace the dated equipment. The work should be completed by the end of this week.

Once the gas pumps are operating again, the new card readers will be able to scan credit and debit cards more quickly. And, a bonus for Price Chopper customers: it will read your loyalty card too.

The gas station is partnering with Price Chopper in offering fuel discounts to shoppers who spend so many dollars in a month at the supermarket. While the gas pump replacement is underway, the supermarket has told customers it will extend the expiration on the gas points so as not to penalize customers.
