Winter to Make a Comeback? (Poll)
A pocket of cold air is on its way to the Northeast, possibly bringing winter with it.

In coming weeks, residents used to cold, grueling New England winters may get a glimpse of the weather mother nature forgot to bring this year.
Greg Postel, a weather blogger for the Washington Post, predicts a large cell of cold air will sweep across the country next week, bringing winter's last gasp with it.
In a post on the Capital Weather Gang blog, Postel wrote, "In the pattern upcoming, however, ridging is forecasted to develop farther east, much closer to the Rockies... This should allow cold air to more easily reach the Northeast," Postel said.

But there is still good news for those enjoying this season's atypical warmth – Postel expects the upcoming winter resurgence to be brief at the longest.
"Longer-range models are generally warm, and this winter has shown us nothing to believe cold air will stick around," Postel said.
