Body Found Near Encore Boston Harbor

EVERETT, MA — Authorities are investigating an unattended death near Encore Boston Harbor in Everett. Massachusetts State Police said the body of a man was found on "either the edge of the [casino] property or just off the property" Tuesday.

A spokesperson for Encore Boston Harbor denied the body was found on its property.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends affected by this tragic incident," a spokesperson for Encore wrote in an email to Patch. "The Everett Police Department is actively investigating the incident, and we are participating as needed."

The cause of death is not yet known. The Middlesex District Attorney's office said it does not consider the death suspicious.
