REVERE, MA — A Malden woman was one of 12 people arrested in an undercover drug operation dubbed "Operation Crackdown." The two-month investigation in Revere yielded more than 125 grams of fentanyl and over 200 grams of cocaine, police said.

Brittany Boyd, 30, was among those arrested. Police said several suspects are charged with trafficking and distribution of cocaine and fentanyl, but did not specify which charges each person faces.

"Investigations such as this are tedious and challenging in many respects," Mayor Brian Arrigo said in a statement. "The cooperation among Revere’s Narcotics/Gang Unit, Saugus and State Police is an example of our regional commitment to law enforcement. This kind of diligence is a vital factor in our constant battle against drug abuse and the crime it spawns in our communities."
