Shooting Stemmed From Argument At Encore Casino: DA

Authorities have arrested a man they say waited for another man after an altercation in the casino lobby and shot him early Sunday.

EVERETT, MA — Authorities have arrested a Randolph man in connection with a shooting near Encore Boston Harbor Sunday morning. Daryl Brown, 29, faces charges of armed assault with intent to murder, assault and battery with a firearm, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and carrying a firearm.

Investigators say Brown waited for another man outside the casino garage and followed him to the Sweetser Circle ramp, firing multiple shots from his car into the victim's car. The shooting happened around 3 a.m. Aug. 16 after an altercation between the two men in the casino lobby, the Middlesex District Attorney's office said.

The victim was taken to the hospital, where he recovered from his injuries. Brown will be arraigned Thursday in Malden District Court.
