Mayor, City Councilors Sworn In At Marlborough Inauguration
Those elected to serve as mayor, city councilors at-large, and school committee members were inaugurated.
MARLBOROUGH, MA â City officials were sworn in at Marlborough's 83rd Inaugural Exercises this week.
Those elected to serve as mayor, city councilors, and school committee members met at the Whitcomb School and the War Memorial Auditorium on Monday. Mayor J. Christian Dumais, who will serve a second term in the city, spoke at the event, along with other speakers and student performances.
"The fact that this election was uncontested is something I do not take lightly," said Mayor Dumais at the ceremony. "I see it not as a personal achievement, but as a vote of confidence in the direction our city is heading by working collaboratively with the city council, school committee, the hard work of our dedicated city employees and the love of the city that defines Marlborough."
