1. Couple Charged in Home Buying Scheme: A Weston couple pleaded not guilty to charges they lied to mortgage lenders to receive hundreds of thousands of dollars in subsidies, used to purchase homes around the state. Their scheme included at least one home in Medford, according to a Fox25 News report. According to the county's Registry of Deeds, Paulo Montenegro owns 575 Main Street in Medford.
It was more of the same at the MBTA meeting in Somerville Tuesday - frustrated riders who didn't want to see service cuts.

3. Weather: Light snow is expected to fall through the day today, fleeting into the night, according to the National Weather Service. There's a 20 percent chance of snow tomorrow.
4. Playoff Hoops Tonight: After eeking out a win against Peabody in the preliminary round of the state tourney, the Medford High boys basketball team faces hoops powerhouse Central Catholic at 7 p.m. in Lawrence.
