5 Things to Know Today, Friday, Feb. 11

Good morning, Medford. Here's five things to know today:

Mostly Sunny Today, Partly Sunny Tomorrow: Today's high is expected to be around 29 degrees, tomorrow it will peak at about 35 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. There's a slight chance of rain/snow/wintery mix on Sunday, when the high will be about 39 degrees.

Rivalry Game: Boys basketball plays Malden at 7 p.m. at the high school gym.

Poetry and Pizza: The Brooks School hosts a poetry night tonight at 5:30 p.m. It will begin with a pizza dinner and a range of poetry readings. After, attendees will be encouraged to come up with a verse or two, as well.

Think Summer with Ice Cream: Medford Family Network is holding an ice cream social fundraiser at 1:30 p.m. at McGlynn school. Beyond ice cream, there will be face painting, arts and crafts, speed portraits, artwork from Medford 3rd and 7th graders and a surprise special appearance.

Prom Dress Swap: The second annual swap runs from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. And it isn't too late to donate, either. Donations will be accepted through today.
