Woman Spots Lewd Act While Fishing at Mystic Lake in Medford: A woman fishing with her husband on the Medford side of Lower Mystic Lake Sunday evening called police at about 6:45 p.m. after she spotted a man with his pants around his knees on the Arlington side who appeared to be masturbating, according to Arlington police. The woman, who was near Mystic Valley Parkway in Medford, told police that she first yelled over to the man that she could see him and told him to stop. She said the man continued until she yelled over that she was going to call police. The man then ran away from the lake, toward East Arlington/Somerville, she said.
Baby Delivered at Medford State Police Barracks After Woman in Labor Gets Caught in Traffic: A woman in premature labor ended up giving birth to a baby girl in the parking lot of the State Police barracks in Medford Wednesday, according to police. About 1:30 p.m., State Police received a frantic 9-1-1 call that a woman was going into labor in the back of a car on Route 16, but was stuck in gridlock traffic due to issues with the lights in Wellington Circle, according to a state police press release.

MBTA to Increase Video Surveillance: The MBTA is already watching, but it will have more eyes pretty soon. The T is set to add thousands of video cameras to its transit system using money from a multi-million dollar federal grant, doubling its current stock of surveillance equipment, according to the Boston Globe. The MBTA is eyeing locations to install the cameras, which will include bus garages, stations, trains and buses, according to an AP report published by WBUR.
