Deputy Sheriff Faces Ethics Fine, Weather Clears Up

Senior Deputy Middlesex County Sheriff Michael Jackson paid a $5,000 fine after admitting to soliciting donations for a campaign fundraiser for then-Sheriff James DiPaola from subordinate office employees during work hours, a violation of the state's conflict of interest law, the State Ethics Commission announced in a press release.
2. Weather: It's going to be mostly sunny and warmer today with highs in the upper-40s, according to the National Weather Service. There's a slight chance of snow tomorrow night.

The Medford branch of the party store, the chains other 51 stores, helped to raise over $50,000 for Birthday Wishes, an organization that aids homeless children around their birthday.
A snow storm that hit Dec. 26 last year left more than 18 inches of snow on the ground, and caused a three-day snow emergency in Medford. There were no major incidents due to the storm, which was one of many from a very snowy winter last season.
