Music for the Market Benefit

The Medford Farmers Market—now entering its fifth season—invites the public to enjoy great local music, food, wine, and friends, while helping the Market to have its best year ever. Music for the Market will be held on Saturday, April 2nd, from 7-10 pm, in Medford City Hall’s beautiful Council Chambers.

Featured musicians will include singer Susan Cattaneo, vocalist and guitarist Max Heinegg, and The Michael J. Epstein Memorial Library.

Advance reviews call Susan Cattaneo’s voice “outstanding” and her upcoming album, Heaven to Heartache, “a lovely piece of work . . . combining a very warm and rich voice with excellent songwriting.”

Max Heinegg’s album These Familiar Days was described as a “strong, consistent collection with melancholic yet upliftingly touching songs” and “exceptionally melodic.”

The Michael J. Epstein Memorial Library, a group of nine musicians that has been described as “baroque indie pop,” has just put together Volume One, which a reviewer called “one of the best local albums in recent memory.”

In addition, guests will be able to choose from many appetizers, finger foods, and desserts—all provided by several Medford businesses—and a cash bar offering wine and beer.

More than twenty Medford businesses and individuals have sponsored Music for the Market. Says the Market’s President, Susan, Fairchild, “I am overwhelmed by the generosity and support of the businesses who donated to the success of our event.  Everyone recognizes that Medford benefits from the mutual support of its citizens and its businesses, and the Medford Farmers Market is happy to contribute, too.  We are looking forward to a fun local event on April 2 and to a fruitful, vibrant market season starting in June.”

All proceeds from Music for the Market will go towards the operating expenses of the Medford Farmers Market.
