Here Are Medford’s Top 10 Boston Marathon 2023 Finishers

MEDFORD, MA – The 2023 Boston Marathon has come to a close, with Evans Chebet and Hellen Obiri, both of Kenya, grabbing the crown in the men’s and women's races of the 127th running of the Boston Marathon.

More than 30,000 runners from over 100 countries participated in the 127th Boston Marathon on Monday, running the 26.2-mile route from Hopkinton to Boylston Street.

Medford resident Emma Bates, 30, finished as the top American in the women’s field. She and Matthew Mcdonald, a 29-year-old registered in Cambridge, were the first two Massachusetts runners to cross the finish line, clocking in at 2:10:17 and 2:22:10, respectively, and finishing 10th and 44th overall, according to Boston Athletic Association’s results database.
