Ice Smashes Into Windshield On I-93 In Medford

State police reiterated a warning to drivers to fully clear off their car after ice flew off a vehicle and hit another car Sunday.

MEDFORD, MA — State police issued another warning to drivers to fully clear their car of snow and ice before they hit the road after a piece of ice smashed into a windshield on I-93 Sunday.

Police said the ice flew off a car and hit another vehicle on the southbound side of the highway in Medford. There were no serious injuries.

"Clean ice and snow off your vehicle, including not just the windows but also the roof, hood, trunk, bed, etc. to prevent this," police said in a tweet Monday morning.
