Krystle Campbell Softball Tournament Returns After 2-Year Break

The annual tournament is held in memory of Medford native Krystle Campbell, who was killed in the Boston Marathon bombing.

MEDFORD, MA — An annual softball tournament held in memory of a Medford native killed in the Boston Marathon bombing will return after a two-year hiatus.

Mustang Girls Softball Coach Rob Farrell announced that the Krystle Campbell Memorial Softball Tournament will be held Saturday, April 23 and Sunday, April 24 at Columbus Park. Returning teams include Billerica, Swampscott, Arlington Catholic and Medford.

The Mustangs plan to sell t-shirts and raffle tickets and host a concession stand for all games.

The tournament raises money for the Krystle Campbell Memorial Scholarship Program and the girls' softball team.
