Medford's 2015 MCAS Scores Among Worst in State

The city is 204th among all school districts with 80% of 10th-grade students scoring proficient of advanced on the annual standardized test.

The 2015 MCAS scores are out. Medford High School students placed among the bottom half of schools in Massachusetts. The city ranks 204th among 291 school districts with 80% of 10th-grade students scoring proficient of advanced on the annual standardized test.

Medford ranked 198th in the state for the English Language Arts portion of the test. 92% of students earned either proficient or advanced.

The city ranked 205th in the state for the Math portion of the test. 81% of students earned either proficient or advanced.

And finally, Medford ranked 228th in the state for the Science portion of the test. 67% of students earned either proficient or advanced.

Between the three sections, 50% of students earned a needs improvement grade. 11% scored within the warning/failing area.
