Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Portland, Maine, we are a leading curbside composting company in New England. From our humble beginnings at a table on Congress Street during Portland's First Friday Artwalk, we've grown into a beloved household service with a big climate impact. Today, we service more than 40,000 households, schools, restaurants, businesses, and events across the region. We're expanding our reach with the vision of bringing convenient curbside composting to communities throughout New England. Our ethos is simple: make composting approachable, convenient, and impactful while supporting local economies. Through our work, we're tackling one of the largest contributors to greenhouse gas emissions—food waste in landfills—and turning it into a resource that nourishes the region's soil and farms.

The 2015 MCAS scores are out. Medford High School students placed among the bottom half of schools in Massachusetts. The city ranks 204th among 291 school districts with 80% of 10th-grade students scoring proficient of advanced on the annual standardized test.Medford ranked 198th in the state for the English Language Arts portion of the test. 92% of students earned either proficient or advanced.The city ranked 205th in the state for the Math portion of the test. 81% of students earned either proficient or advanced.And finally, Medford ranked 228th in the state for the Science portion of the test. 67% of students earned either proficient or advanced.Between the three sections, 50% of students earned a needs improvement grade. 11% scored within the warning/failing area.
