Major Drug Raid Made In Medford

State and local entities came together to stop a narcotics operation.

MEDFORD, MA — Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan partnered with the State Police to conduct a drug trafficking bust that resulted in an arrest earlier this month.

Resident John Dinius, 30, was arrested on numerous drug-related charges after he was reportedly found to be in possession of 80 grams of cocaine, 138 grams of crystal meth, 18 grams of oxycodone, thousands of grams of counterfeit drugs, and a mechanically-operated pill press. His Bowdoin Street apartment was raided on Tuesday, June 10 and the illegal paraphernalia was found in his basement.
According to Ryan, Dinius was using the illicit drugs in his possession to make pills and present them as prescription medications such as Xanax and Adderall.

The Medford Police Department assisted in the operation. Dinius was recently arraigned in Somerville District Court and held at $75,000 bail. His next court date is slated for Thursday, July 10.
