He is no stranger to the YMCA, taking swimming lessons in the old Malden Square building growing up and playing basketball with friends at the current location.
"I’m super excited to work with my staff and the children of the program," Barthelemy said. "I’m excited to grow and be the best that I can be for The Y, and I’m really looking forward to expanding programming and giving more youth opportunities to make friends, learn, grow, but most importantly, play."

"We’re thrilled to have Kenjii joining our team," Mystic Valley CEO Debbie Amaral said. "Having someone who grew up in the community and who really knows the community - it’s needs and how it functions - will be critical to this position, and Kenjii is just that."
