MEDFORD, MA — A local church will donate $10,000 to the Medford Public Schools this Sunday, Aug. 29 during its Friends and Family Celebration.

Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn and Superintendent Marice Edouard-Vincent will be in attendance to receive the check from the church and participate in the Friends and Family Celebration. The event will include food, fun and games following the church's worship service.

Impact Church has been meeting at the McGlynn Middle School since 2015. In its time there, the church has donated equipment to the school, as well as free meals to families during the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons. The church recently hosted a clothing giveaway for the community, where people could come and fill a bag with clothing at no cost.
