House Fire: Medford Residents Displaced

The fire started early Wednesday morning.

MEDFORD, MA — Eleven people have been displaced by a two-alarm house fire on 134 Fern Road on Wednesday morning.

Firefighters responded to the blaze at approximately 6 a.m. While no human injuries have been reported, two house pets have died, according to the department. Thick smoke could reportedly be seen for miles as the blaze burned on the roof of the residence not far from Interstate Route 93. The Chelsea Fire Department provided assistance.

The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
