Medford To Issue Pro-Rated Parking Permits Beginning July 1

MEDFORD, MA — The Medford Parking Department will be issuing yearly parking permits on a pro-rated basis for 2022.

In the past, permits were issued for an entire calendar year based on the date it was purchased. However, in an effort to streamline the process, the city will be offering a reduced rate for people buying permits this late into the year.

For example, a permit issued on July 1 will be valid until December 31, but offered at a discounted price.

Medford parking officials will continue to issue violations for vehicles parked the wrong way on any street

All parking permit requests, payment options, and other parking-related operations can be conducted at www.medfordma.org/parking. To obtain a residential permit, you must show your vehicle registration with a Medford address. To obtain a business parking permit, you must provide proof that you are an owner or employee of a Medford business.

To obtain a visitor parking permit, visit the Parking Department in person and bring a valid proof of Medford residency, such as a utility bill or bank statement. Visitor permits cannot be obtained online and are valid for 48 hours.
