MEDFORD, MA — A woman has implored the Massachusetts State Police to reinvestigate the death of her brother, according to a report from NBC 10 Boston.

Charles Scimone, 53, died in February 2021 after being found unresponsive on the couch by his 14-year-old son. However, the son had not spoken to his Scimone in four days despite them both being at the home, and his body had begun decomposing when discovered by first responders. His cause of death was determined to be the mixing of alcohol with Librium, a prescription drug.

After concerns were raised by Scimone’s sister Lucille Flynn, State Police Col. Geoff Noble assigned an officer to address Flynn’s concerns and reevaluate the case.
