MEDFORD, MA — The Medford Police Department announced Monday that it is actively hiring new officers. The police department will be hosting an information session about joining the force on Thursday, Jan. 9 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the department headquarters, located at 100 Main St. According to Medford police, the event will focus on the following positions: Municipal Police Officer, MBTA Transit Police Officer, and State Trooper Civil Service Examinations. Once an applicant take the exam, their name is placed on a list of eligible candidates. The hiring process includes completing an employment packet, a background check and interview.
