Medford Police Holding Inaugural Junior Police Academy
The department just announced the program, which is scheduled for this summer.

MEDFORD, MA — The police department announced it will hold its first-ever Junior Police Academy later this summer.
The week-long event will take place throughout the week of July 14 from 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. at Medford High School on Winthrop Street. Students entering grades six, seven, and eight are eligible to participate. However, the department is also soliciting for help from local high school students to be counselors for the program.
Activities slated for the academy include First Aid and CPR training, crime scene simulation, cyber safety, and K9 demonstrations.

Registration for the free event begins Tuesday, April 1. Community members can register their children online at medfordpolice.com.
