Medford Police Seek Suspects Who Beat, Robbed Parking Officer

A parking enforcement officer was allegedly punched, kicked and robbed on Capen Street Wednesday night.

The Medford police are looking for two suspects after a parking enforcement officer was assaulted and robbed Wednesday night.

Police said the officer was checking parking permits on Capen Street when suddenly two people snuck up from behind him. The victim told police that the suspects punched, kicked and robbed him of his money.

According to police, the suspects are believed to be teenagers or in their early 20s.

The victim, a 38-year-old man from Billerica, was transported to a local hospital for treatment. He has since been released.

Police said the attack was random in nature.
