MEDFORD, MA — A longtime Medford police sergeant worked his last shift Monday.
Joseph Byrnes retired after more than 23 years with the Medford Police Department. Byrnes was honored with a retirement party and Medford police-themed cake, according to photos shared on the department's social media pages.
"Good luck and enjoy!" The Medford Police Department wrote on Facebook.
