Phone Scam: Medford Police Warn Against Polcie Imposter

MEDFORD, MA — The police department is warning the community about scam phone calls in which the perpetrator is pretending to be an officer.

The scammers are reportedly claiming to be Traffic Sergeant Jordan Cannava and are calling from the number 781-675-1670. The department emphasized that the calls are not legitimate.
“If you receive a call or voicemail from this individual, do not engage,” the department said in a statement. “Hang up immediately or delete the message. Never give personal information to anyone over the phone, including full name, social security number, or credit card numbers.”

The scam calls are currently under investigation.
