Medford Releases Voting Information For Nov. 8 Election
The city will hold early voting from Saturday, Oct. 22 through Friday, Nov. 4.
MEDFORD, MA — The City of Medford has released voting information for the Massachusetts general election on Tuesday, Nov. 8.
Early Voting
The city will hold early voting in the Howard F. Alden Chambers at City Hall, located at 85 George P. Hassett Drive, from Saturday, Oct. 22 through Friday, Nov. 4 at the following times:

- Saturday, Oct. 22 from 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
- Sunday Oct. 23 from 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
- Monday, Oct. 24 from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, Oct. 25 from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, Oct. 26 from 8:30 a.m. -7:30 p.m.
- Thursday, Oct. 27 from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Mail-in Ballots
Medford residents can also vote by mail by applying to The Registrar’s of Voter’s Office no later than 5 p.m. on the 5th business day before the election. For the Nov. 8 election, that means Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 5 p.m. is the deadline to apply. Applications are available on the city’s website or the Secretary of State’s website.

The deadline to return a Vote by Mail ballot in person or by drop box is Nov. 8 by 8 p.m. If you return your ballot by mail, it must be postmarked by Election Day and received by the Election Commission office by 5 p.m. on Nov. 12. The drop box is located on the left side of City Hall nearest the side entrance.

Residents can visit their regular polling places on Tuesday, Nov. 8 between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. To check your polling location, visit https://medfordma.org/departments/voter-registration/polling-locations/.

- Are you a registered voter?
- The deadline to register to vote in the General Election is Saturday, Oct. 29 at 5 p.m. The Registrar’s of Voter’s Office will be open on this day from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for in person voter registration. To register online instead, visit https://www.sec.state.ma.us/ovr/
- Is your voter status “active”?
- Voters must return their signed census to vote. If the census isn’t returned, voters will be required to complete additional forms and show proper ID. To avoid having to complete additional paperwork at the polls, voters who can change their status to active by stopping by The Registrar’s of Voter’s Office until Saturday, Oct. at 5 p.m. to sign a census form in person.
