Medford Set to Elect New Mayor on Nov. 3
The City of Medford will vote to elect a new mayor at next week's municipal election. Mayor Michael McGlynn has held office since 1988.

The City of Medford will hold its Municipal Election on Tuesday, Nov. 3. When residents head to the polls, they will be voting to select a new mayor, city council members, and school committee members.
Current Medford Mayor, Michael J. McGlynn, has held office since 1988. He is not seeking re-election. Stephanie Muccini Burke and Bob Penta will be the two mayoral candidates on this year’s ballot.
Burke served as a city councilor in Medford from 1996-2011. She’s since served as Medford’s director of budget and personnel. Penta has been on the city council since 1980.

14 candidates are vying for seven city council positions. 10 candidates are vying for six school committee positions.
Voters will also either pass or decline a tax surcharge, which will support open space purchases and preservation needs.

Polls open across Medford at 7:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m.
