Medford Urgent Care To Offer Round-The-Clock Telehealth Services
PhysicianOne says it is the first urgent care in the Medford area to integrate 24/7 virtual care with in-person care.
MEDFORD, MA — PhysicianOne Urgent Care will offer round-the-clock telehealth services to its patients. The urgent care says it is the only provider in the Medford area to integrate 24/7 virtual care with in-person service.
Patients can have a question answered virtually at 2 a.m., and then receive follow-up testing or care in person at 8 a.m. at a local urgent care center.
"The pandemic may have boosted the adoption of telehealth, but as we move into an endemic it is clear that telehealth is here to stay. I firmly believe that telehealth offers an alternative way to receive valuable medical care, particularly during 'off hours,'" Dr. Brian Cruz, regional medical director at PhysicianOne Urgent Care, said in a statement.

Cruz said offering 24/7 virtual care could save patients a trip to the ER.
"This offering will not only bring a sense of flexibility to a variety of our patients who need access to reliable health care from the comfort of their own homes, but also allow the worn-down health system time to recover from the most recent COVID-19 surge," he added.
