National Grid Worker Dies After Incident At Medford Work Site

The incident took place around 12:30 a.m., at which time the crew was working with a police detail near 500 Salem Street.

MEDFORD, MA — A National Grid worker died early Thursday morning after an incident at an underground work site in Medford, reported WCVB.

The incident took place around 12:30 a.m., at which time the crew was working with a police detail near 500 Salem Street.

The victim was taken to a local hospital, where they were pronounced dead. Three police officers were also taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Part of Salem Street was closed during the investigation.
