Maplewood Square Citizens Bank Robbed
Both the Malden Police and FBI are investigating a bank robbery at the Citizens Bank on Lebanon St. Thursday afternoon, a detective has confirmed. A male suspect reportedly passed a note with demands around 1:20 p.m. and then fled in the direction of Hartshorn Ave. and the Mystic Valley Regional Charter School, according to police scanner reports. — Chris Caesar

A male pedestrian was crossing Mass. Ave. at Mill Street shortly after 5 p.m. Nov. 24 when a man in a pickup truck reportedly yelled at him, possibly drove over his foot and then took off. The pedestrian, who was crossing toward Jason Street, told police that his foot hurt and he believed the truck may have run it over. He refused medical treatment. — John Waller

Government Center Station Closing for 2 Years
One of Boston’s oldest MBTA stations will shut down for two years to make way for a major renovation project. Government Center Station is scheduled to close in September 2013 for 24 months while construction is completed on a “$90 million overhaul,” according to Boston.com. — Bret Silverberg
