Police Investigating Hit And Run Incident In Medford

MEDFORD, MA — The police department is investigating a hit and run incident in which a person was struck by a vehicle on Sunday, Aug. 10.

The accident took place at the crosswalk in front of Alexander’s restaurant on 277 Main St. at approximately 1:20 a.m. According to police, the driver immediately fled the scene, leaving the pedestrian with serious injuries.

The driver reportedly headed southbound on Main Street toward Somerville. The department is asking community members with relevant information or nearby business owners with surveillance footage of the incident to contact Detective Michael Pellegrino at 781-397-6767.
