Report: Sex Assault Charge for Ukrainian Hockey Coach Who Brought Team to Medford

A Ukrainian junior hockey coach who brought his team to Medford last month for an exhibition is charged with fondling a 14-year-old boy in Philadelphia, according to an Associated Press report.

Ivan Pravilov was arrested last week after a 14-year-old player attending one of his clinics told authorities the coach fondled him at an apartment in Philadelphia, the report said.

Pravilov allegedly slapped and threatened one of the victim's teammates who publicized the incident, the report said.

Druzhba78, Pravilov's Ukrainian under-16 youth team, . The game was part of a series of exhibitions Druzbha78 played in New England last month.

Pravilov is due in court next Jan. 27.
