A large storm is headed toward Medford and the National Weather Service warns of strong thunder storms and possible flash flooding. A Flash Flood Watch began at noon Thursday and runs through Friday afternoon, <a href="http://forecast.weather.gov/showsigwx.php?warnzone=MAZ014&amp;warncounty=MAC017&amp;firewxzone=MAZ014&amp;local_place1=&amp;product1=Flash+Flood+Watch#.UcyE2D46U6w" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">according to the NWS warning</a>. Thunderstorms are expected across Southern New England Thursday night and Friday, and some places may get up to 2 inches of rain, according to the NWS. The heavy rain could cause street flooding and some stream and rivers could run over their banks, the NWS said.
