From our humble beginnings at a table on Congress Street during Portland's First Friday Artwalk, we've grown into a beloved household service with a big climate impact. Today, we service more than 40,000 households, schools, restaurants, businesses, and events across the region. We're expanding our reach with the vision of bringing convenient curbside composting to communities throughout New England. Our ethos is simple: make composting approachable, convenient, and impactful while supporting local economies. Through our work, we're tackling one of the largest contributors to greenhouse gas emissions—food waste in landfills—and turning it into a resource that nourishes the region's soil and farms.

It's like the Tall Ships in Boston - just way, way smaller. Tomorrow the Tiny Tall Ships Festival washes ashore in Union Square in "celebration of everything tiny and nautical for people of all ages." The Somerville Arts Council said "Small ships, sea monsters and other floating sculptures will bob in kiddie pools spread across Union Square. Children and grown-ups will be able to make their own tiny boats to race in temporary lagoons. Pirates and mermaids will attend. Plus a tattoo contest (permanent or temporary tattoos), stories for children, sand castle building, a pirate-themed obstacle course, seafood, crafts, and nautical tunes. Costumes are welcome and encouraged!"Admission is free.
