Medford High School girls hockey were defeated in the first round of the Massachusetts Interscholastic Atheltics Association (MIAA) Division 1 tournament Saturday, ending their season. <a href="http://miaa.statebrackets.com/tmenu.cfm?tid=2750" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">According to the MIAA website</a>, the Lady Mustangs lost to Beverly/Danvers by a score of 8-1. The game took place at Salem State University. MHS came in to the game ranked 18th in the tournament while Beverly/Danvers was ranked second. To play Beverly/Danvers, the Lady Mustangs beat 15th-ranked Medway/Ashland 5-1 last Thursday in the tournament's preliminary round. Medford finishes their season with a 10-7-3 regular season mark and a 1-1 postseason record.
