Vote for Columbus School Garden to Win Grant
The money would be used to install new plant beds and make the garden more wheelchair accessible.

MEDFORD, MA - The Columbus Elementary School garden is in the running to win a Seeds of Change grant.
The grant of either $10,000 or $20,000 will help the children's gardening program continue.
The grant would be used to: repair and maintain the raised bed garden (several are rotting); install new beds and hanging planters at waist-height so students in wheelchairs can garden more easily; install new plumbing to give the garden direct access to water; and purchase cold frames that will extend the gardening season.
