Wakefield selectmen have scheduled a special election for Tuesday, July 19, to fill a vacancy on their board.

WAKEFIELD, MA -- Wakefield selectmen have scheduled a special election for Tuesday, July 19, to fill a vacancy on their board. Selectmen made their decision during their May 9 meeting.
Nomination papers became available May 11. Thursday, May 26, is the last day to obtain papers. Fifty valid registered voters’ signatures and addresses of Wakefield residents are required.
Tuesday, May 31, is the last day to submit nomination papers to the registrar of voters for certification. Tuesday, June 14, is the last day to file nomination papers with the town clerk. The last day to object to or withdraw nomination papers is Thursday, June 16.
