Week in Review: Tufts Students Have Fun with Quad Streaking Ban; 200k Taken in ATM Heist

Tufts Naked Quad Run Becomes 'Excessively Overdressed Quad Stroll': Naked students running through the quad used to be a tradition on the night after the last day of mid-terms. But when administrators threatened suspensions for any students participating this year, undergrads instead went for an "excessively overdressed stroll."

  The FBI and Bank of America are offering a $20,000 reward for information regarding the robbery of an ATM in Medford Square. About $200,000 was taken from the ATM at 26 High Street on Dec. 3. The FBI is seeking information from anyone who may have seen someone suspicious in the area either late at night Dec. 2 or early in the morning Dec. 3. The suspect was experienced with ATM or telecommunications technology, police said.

In a letter to the editor, Rep. Mike Capuano said he supports building the green line extension all the way to Route 16, but would like to see the state take an approach that gets as much of the project open and running as quickly as possible, with future federal funding for the project unclear, and a possible change in state leadership in Massachusetts.

Group Looks to Turn Traffic Light Switch Boxes into Art:  Over the next few months Medford Health Matters will be looking for local artists to help draft a mural to be painted on the large electrical boxes around Medford. Anyone interested should contact Diane McLeod at dmcleod@medford.org.

Dog Group Disappointed By DCR Fells Plan with No Off-Leash Trails: In an open letter to local legislators, Co-Founder of FellsDOG Michele Biscoe says local legislators issued comments "clandestinely." The letter was submitted in response to the Department of Conservation's Middlesex Fells Resource Management Plan.
