Medford Hit-And-Run Suspect Turns Himself In: Police
A 22-year-old woman was seriously injured when she was struck while getting out of a ride-share vehicle late Saturday night.
MEDFORD, MA — The suspect in a hit-and-run in Medford over the weekend has turned himself in, police said. Investigators have also recovered the car involved in the collision.
Police are not identifying the man by name, as he has not yet been charged.
Police said a 22-year-old woman was struck by a passing car while she and her boyfriend were getting out of a ride-share vehicle. The collision happened around 11:30 p.m. Saturday on Harvard Street, police said.

The woman was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital, where she remained in serious condition Sunday.
The car involved in the hit-and-run is described as a beige, older model Toyota Corolla or Camry, with a box-shaped back and damage to the front passenger side, police said. A witness told police the driver stopped at the scene, got out of the car and looked at the injured woman before fleeing the scene toward Main Street.

Police described the driver as a dark-skinned, possibly Hispanic male with very short, tightly cropped dark hair. He was wearing red or tan pants, police said.
A silver or gray 2003 Honda Civic or Accord is also believed to be involved in the crash, police said. A witness told police this car struck the back of the Toyota, leaving its front-end grille and other parts at the scene.
