From our humble beginnings at a table on Congress Street during Portland's First Friday Artwalk, we've grown into a beloved household service with a big climate impact. Today, we service more than 40,000 households, schools, restaurants, businesses, and events across the region. We're expanding our reach with the vision of bringing convenient curbside composting to communities throughout New England. Our ethos is simple: make composting approachable, convenient, and impactful while supporting local economies. Through our work, we're tackling one of the largest contributors to greenhouse gas emissions—food waste in landfills—and turning it into a resource that nourishes the region's soil and farms.

This past weeks, students from Melrose High School were able to speak with Nobel Prize winning economist Peter Diamond. Diamond spoke to students about unemployment, touching upon the topics of structural unemployment and the Beveridge Curve.Students were able to submit questions to Mr. Diamond via a Google Doc, while participating in a backchannel chat during the presentation using Chromebooks.
