Melrose Volleyball Secures Spot In MIAA Tournament Final Four
Melrose will take the court on Wednesday to play for a spot in the state championship.
MELROSE, MA — The season continues for the Melrose High School varsity girls volleyball team in the MIAA state championship tournament.
Now, just one match separates the team from a spot in the Division II state finals as Melrose prepares for a Final Four clash with King Phillip this week. The state semifinals match is set for Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at Framingham High School.
Sixth-ranked Melrose will look to unseat second-ranked King Phillip days after upsetting Duxbury on the road on Friday.

Melrose roared through this year’s regular season, posting a 16-4 win-loss record. Now back in the Final Four, Melrose is returning to a stage it has taken before.
The team played Westborough in the Final Four a year ago, ultimately falling to the Rangers. This year’s bracket may yield a rematch of that game, with the winner of Wednesday’s King Phillip/Melrose semifinal playing the winner of a separate Wednesday match between Westborough and Dartmouth in the state final.
